Hydraulic Press Break

The press brake helps your project take shape, literally. A press brake has the capability to bend a metal sheet at various angles to create different structures. Hardings Steel in North Vancouver is proud to own a comprehensive range of leading edge equipment, including a hydraulic press brake.
How it works
First, the sheet is slotted into a notch on the machine, then a ram is used to press on the metal until it bends into place. When working with sheet metal, the press brake can be adjusted to create a wide variety of bends. The computerized controls of the hydraulic press brake work to ensure that every bend is precise and to the satisfaction of our clients throughout Vancouver. Our machine can handle material to a maximum length of 11′ and a maximum sheet thickness of 3/8″.
Bending Vs Welding
In many cases, it is preferable to bend a piece into the appropriate shape, rather than welding two or more pieces together. Firstly, welding can be a much more time-consuming process than using the press brake. Additionally, welded joints may not provide the same structural integrity as a single piece that has been bent into shape.
